Male or Female????

HIJRA....

In South Asia, many hijras live in well-defined, organized, all-hijra communities, led by a guru. These communities have sustained themselves over generations by "adopting" young boys who are rejected by, or flee their family of origin. Many work as sex workers for survival.
The word hijra is Urdu, derived from the Arabic root hjr in its sense of "leaving one's tribe," and has been borrowed into Hindi. The Indian usage has traditionally been translated into English as "eunuch" or "hermaphrodite," where "the irregularity of the male genitalia is central to the definition." However, in general hijras are born with typically male physiology, only a few having been born with male inter sex variations. Some Hijras undergo an initiation rite into the hijra community called nirwaan, which refers to the removal of penis, testicles and scrotum.
Since the late 20th century, some hijra activists and Western non-government organizations (NGOs) have been lobbying for official recognition of the hijra as a kind of "third sex" or "third gender," as neither man nor woman.
As for our country Malaysia, this type of person or community cannot be accepted because it break the law in Islam. In addition, it will give bad perception toward our country. This type of community should be vanished from this world...

ARE THEY OUT OF THEIR MIND???

LAND DIVING.

The origin of land diving is described in a legend of a woman who was dissatisfied with her husband, Tamalie (or some variation of the name). It is sometimes claimed that the woman was upset that her husband was too vigorous regarding his sexual wants, so she ran away into the forest. Her husband followed her, so she climbed a banyan tree. Tamalie climbed after her, and so she tied lianas to her ankles and jumped and survived. Her husband jumped after her, but did not tie lianas to himself, which caused him to plummet and die. The men performed the original land diving so that they would not be tricked again.
The land diving ritual is associated with the annual yam harvest. It is performed annually in the months of April, May, or June. A good dive helps ensure a bountiful yam harvest.
The villagers believe land diving can enhance the health and strength of the divers. A successful dive can remove the illnesses and physical problems associated with the wet season. Furthermore, land diving is considered as an expression of masculinity, as it demonstrates boldness that was associated with the bwahri or warrior.Nevertheless, the men who do not choose to dive or back out of diving are not humiliated as cowards.
In the Sa language, gol refers to both the tower and the land dive. The tower symbolically represents a body, with a head, shoulders, breasts, belly, genitals, and knees. The diving platforms represent the penises and the struts beneath representing the vaginas.
In my opinion, this ritual is stupid and crazy. If they doing wrong or make a mistake during the ritual, it can cause death. But, that was their ritual and belief. We as a foreigner should respect their culture.

IRONY........???

What is irony?
The use of words to convey the opposite of their literal meaning; a statement or situation where the meaning is contradicted by the appearance or presentation of the idea.

Three kinds of irony are commonly recognized:
  1. Verbal irony is a trope in which the intended meaning of a statement differs from the meaning that the words appear to express.

  2. Situational irony involves an incongruity between what is expected or intended and what actually occurs.

  3. Dramatic irony is an effect produced by a narrative in which the audience knows more about present or future circumstances than a character in the story.
Example of irony:

Drinking moderate amounts of alcohol can prevent heart disease whereas drinking...... drinking moderate amounts of alcohol can prevent heart disease whereas drinking heavily can stop it.

Studying psychology can make one crazy?

SYLLOGISM!!!

Hye guy's....what you know about syllogism?

A syllogism is valid (or logical) when its conclusion follows from its premises. A syllogism is true when it makes accurate claims-that is, when the information it contains is consistent with the facts. To be sound, a syllogism must be both valid and true. However, a syllogism may be valid without being true or true without being valid.
   Example of syllogism:
The process of deduction has traditionally been illustrated with a syllogism, a three-part set of statements or propositions that includes a major premise, a minor premise, and a conclusion.
Major premise: All books from that store are new.

Minor premise: These books are from that store.

Conclusion: Therefore, these books are new.
 Now you try it.....

WHO IS JULIUS CAESAR???

Caesar was a politician and general of the late Roman republic, who greatly extended the Roman Empire before seizing power and making himself dictator of Rome, concrete the way for the imperial system.

Julius Caesar was born in Rome on 12 or 13 July 100 BC into the prominent Julian clan. His family were closely connected with the Marian party in Roman politics. Caesar himself progressed within the Roman political system, becoming in sequence quaestor (69), aedile (65) and praetor (62). In 61-60 BC he served as governor of the Roman area of Spain. Back in Rome in 60, Caesar made a pact with Pompey and Crassus, who helped him to get elected as consul for 59 BC. The following year he was appointed governor of Roman Gaul where he stayed for eight years, adding the whole of modern France and Belgium to the Roman Empire, and making Rome safe from the option of Gallic invasions. He made two expeditions to Britain, in 55 BC and 54 BC.
Caesar was now master of Rome and made himself consul and dictator. He used his power to carry out much-needed reform, relieving debt, enlarging the senate, building the Forum Iulium and revising the calendar. Dictatorship was always regarded a temporary position but in 44 BC, Caesar took it for life. His success and ambition alienated strongly republican senators. A group of these, lead by Cassius and Brutus, assassinated Caesar on the Ides (15) of March 44 BC. This sparked the final round of civil wars that ended the Republic and brought about the elevation of Caesar's great nephew and designated heir, Octavian, as Augustus, the first emperor.

JACK THE RIPPER!!!

During last three week, our lecturer sir Kamaraziz has give us a task to make an experiment and investigation towards the suspect and choose the best suspect that can be claim the real Jack The Ripper. We had been divided into 6 group. Every each of group must choose one of the suspects and have to defend why they choose that person. The persecutor must play a role to fight with defender.

As for my group, we had chosen SIR JOHN WILLIAMS because he has the criteria of Jack The Ripper.
We choose him because, based on the evidence that we found in the investigation of Metropolitan police his personality is match with the evidence. As we all known, Jack the Ripper is a perfectionist person and have an expertise in surgery. So, because of that we think he was the perfect suspect. here are some of his background. Williams was born in Carmarthenshire, the son of a Welsh Congregational minister. He went to school in Swansea, then to the University of Glasgow, and finally to University College HospitalLondon, to complete his medical studies. In 1872 he married Mary Hughes, but they had no children. In 1886, he became a private doctor to the royal family. As well as his career as an obstetric surgeon in London, he helped set up a Welsh hospital in South Africa during the Boer War, and was involved in the campaign against tuberculosis in his native country.

Furthermore, we choose him because he has lots of motif. One of the motif is, he hate prostitute so much. It is because lots of prostitute came to her to make an abortion. As a person who want a child very much, he feel angry when the prostitute do like that.

On the other hand, John William is a royal private doctor. He was not only a royal private doctor but also an adviser towards Queen Victoria. After the Queen know that Prince Albert had married with one of the prostitute, she asked Sir William to investigate about it. As the servant to royal family, he do the investigation.

In addition, based on police investigation also, they claim that the murder is an expert surgeon and have high skill's in surgery. This is because, all of the victim had been murder perfectly and it can been done by a person that have an expertise in surgery.

In conclusion, as for our group, SIR JOHN WILLIAM is JACK THE RIPPER because his personality is match with the real murderer and the evidence.

movie review- FROM HELL.

From hell movie is all about serial killer towards prostitute that had being mark by The Killer that claim he from hell. The serial killer called himself as JACK THE RIPPER. Jack the Ripper, mainly that he was some lunatic in England's Victorian era that ripped prostitutes apart.

The film quickly introduces the character of Inspector Frederick Abberline. Abberline is assigned to the case after the first killing, because of his excellent profiling abilities. An ability enhanced by his addiction to Opium. Abberline is known for being able to see the victims being slaughtered in his dreams. On the other side of the spectrum you have Mary Kelly. A prostitute working to pay off her debts to the local gangsters.

She finds herself directly in the Rippers path, as her friends are methodically being picked off, one by one. Hoping to save the lives of her friends and herself she contacts Inspector Abberline. Abberline pieces together whatever information he can extract from Mary. Over the course of their meetings, they have their obligatory love angle. Abberline gets Mary and her friends off the streets, in an attempt to keep them out of harms way.

Abberline profiles his killer, and finds that he's not dealing with just any old butcher. Despite what the trailers have presented, the visions caused by his use of opium are kept to a minimum. In fact you probably won't even notice them much, they become more of an extended part of the killings. Slowly the clues start to meld together, and Abberline is hot on the Rippers trail. Suspects are eliminated, but a motive for the brutal crimes are scarce. Abberline must bring Jack the Ripper to justice before he loses Mary Kelly to this deranged killer that could have only risen from hell.

Somehow, the case of Jack The Ripper until today cannot be solve because there is lots of suspects that can be claim as Jack. All of the suspect can be see in Critical Literacy study guide. WHO IS THE REAL JACK THE RIPPER?

STEVE JOBS NOBODY KNEW- JEFF GOODELL

The article, “The Steve Jobs nobody knew” is telling us regarding the furious person of Steve Jobs. Jobs as we all known he was a great and successful person who are committed in his work.  Behind his successfulness there is something that hides his true personality. Regardless, how furious he was, it only happen when he was too concentrates in his invention.  It was not easy to be a successful person as it need lots of hard work and sometimes we need to start from bottom.

Jobs personality is always follow his intuition and never listen to other people opinions regarding on what he working on. Steve Jobs was someone that really put a lot of perfection in everything he did. He always stand on his point of view and never listen to what his consumer said. That make people surrounding hate him so much. But, Jobs being like that is for a reason. He want to make APPLE know by all people around the world.

Whatever Steve Jobs did, he insisting on perfection and originality. Steve Jobs worked hard to generate his own idea on inventing technologies so, when someone tried to steal his idea, like what Bill Gates had done before, he always remembered it. Things that Steve Jobs discovered comes freshly from his own mind not plagiarized from others works. As for him, he believe that all the hard work contributes for the successful. Steve Jobs was a digital pioneer in electronic devices in which it paid for all the struggles he went through before. The effort he made to create Apple is worthwhile because it has been known for the entire world.

Steve Jobs also think that life is too valuable to be wasted. As we given a chance to do something in life, we should valuable it. Like what Steve Jobs had done, he grabbed any opportunity he had to make the things that he loved to do. Steve Jobs still struggling and committed with his work to archive his goal to make Apple remain at the top even though at the same time he has to fight with his disease.

In nutshell, we cannot judge someone by their look only. We need to know that person really deeply and because of that we can write and publish to everybody about someone.

ALL COOL KID'S ARE QUITTING FACEBOOK- BY JENNA WORTHAM

The article, “All the cool kids are Quitting Facebook” is about people these days depending too much towards the social networking site. The excerpt by Jenna Wortham claimed that people especially kids who are quitting from facebook is a cool person. However, if we quitting from facebook or others type of social networking site, there will be a problem to us to contact friends. Facebook is the fastest, easiest and efficient ways to contact with others. With facebook also we can gain lots of knowledge and can up to date with something.

Plus, we can get information all over the world by it.  With facebook, as we all know we can connect with other people all over the world. We can exchange opinion or having a discussion only just sitting at house. By using this social networking site also we can know what happen to the world easily without going anywhere. If we quitting facebook, we were same like a snail and a caveman.

In addition, Facebook also can release our tension.  In Facebook there is lots of funny page that we can visit. In that page there have lots of joke that can make us laugh all the day. We also can share the joke with our friends. Facebook also provide games for the user. Just only click at the application and after that we can play the game until we feel bored. There have variety of game that facebook provide to the user.

In conclusion, we cannot judge or see facebook on negative sides only. It depends on that person to judge it by their-selves. We cannot force them to do something that they do not like to do. In addition, I do not agree with what  Jenna  said because as for me facebook is everything.

JeWs aND tHeIr DECEITS.

Hye guys.....have you read about this article by a famous dictator and cruel (what people said) Adolf Hitler?

I had just finished read this article and this article is about Jews and their Deceits.
In this article, he (Adolf Hitler) said all people must not trust them (JEWS). He also said that if we believe them as honest, we are giving them room to maneuver and strategize against us.
Yes that is true.....but as for me, all JEWS are not the same. They are ordinary people like us. The reason is because, all God creation that is human are same by their looks, only their heart and manner are not same. In Islam, we also have that kind of particular person. People just jealous when someone are better than them. People will say anything when they are jealous toward something.
In the article, he also said that Jews are liars and hide their true feelings for complete free expression in social impossibility for them in other word they wear mask.
As for me, not only Jews are liar and hide their true feelings and wear mask. People will be a liar and will hide their true feelings if they want to gain something from another.
In addition, Hitler also said in the article that Jews are always hungry for power and shameless. He also said the secret of their survival is to learn to get others do the work for them while taking the credit for themselves.
In my opinion, people are hungry for power because they want to be better than others not because they want to control something but they only want to do what is the best for them.
All people like to take advantage and being selfish for example in business. In business people always do the same things not because to be famous but maybe they want to gain attention from others or their boss and to convinces that they can do something much better than the others.

JOKE ! !

Last week we had been given a task that is delivering a joke to each other in class. It was hard to make and delivering  joke in English because sometimes people take time to understanding it. But when it comes to Malay joke, people can easily laugh loudly like their stomach want to blow. to make a joke, we must have a set up and a punchline. To make a joke we will use both side of our brain. The left brain will use to set up and the right brain will come out with the punchline. It was fun make or create joke because we will hear a different answer among our friends and sometime the answer itself much funnier than the set up or question.

NEW CHAPTER AND NEW COURSE

CRITICAL LITERACY.
Hye guys, In my college, when you enter semester 4, you will take a new subject or course that is CRITICAL LITERACY. This course was categorized as a killer subject by the all seniors... In my opinion YES this subject is so hard even though the class of this subject just start today. First of all as a new learner of this subject I though that this subject will be boring and will make me sleepy....but unfortunately this subject is quiet fun because it will make our mind focus and think out of box.
The Meaning of Critical Literacy:
a thought process that considers both sides of equation before concluding something to be true:- By Sir Kamaraziz

" THE TRUTH IS WHAT IS RIGHT, BUT WHAT IS RIGHT IS NOT NECESSARILY THE TRUTH":- By FENDI
